Kerr Receives 2019 MDA President's Award

Dr. David Kerr, a dentist who practices in Portland, has been recognized with the 2019 Maine Dental Association President’s Award. He was honored at the organization’s annual convention on June 1 at the Harborside Hotel, Spa, and Marina in Bar Harbor.

Outgoing MDA Executive Board President Dr. Kathryn Horutz presented the award to Kerr, which recognizes an individual who has made significant and meaningful contributions to the profession.

“Dr. Kerr has served our profession with honor and dedication, and I am pleased to recognize him,” Horutz said.

“It is an honor to work with so many fine colleagues, helping improve the oral health of Maine,” Kerr said.

Kerr is president-elect of the MDA Executive Board, and had been treasurer of the board since 2010. He has served on the MDA’s Insurance Committee, and has been a volunteer for Dental Lifeline Network – Maine and the Dentists Who Care for ME program.
