
Continuing Education hours are mandatory for licensure renewal. Chapter 13 of 02-313: Board of Dental Practice, sets forth the nature and amount of continuing education credit hours required for renewal of licenses issued by the Board. This chapter also establishes how to substantiate satisfaction of continuing education requirements for licenses issued by the Board.

Mandated Reporting
Maine law requires that certain professionals, including licensed health professionals, who suspect child abuse and neglect and who suspect abuse, neglect or exploitation of an incapacitated or dependent adult report to the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Maine law also requires that certain professionals, including licensed health professionals, obtain mandated reporter training once every four years.
Please note that the modules provided by the State of Maine DHHS satisfy the requirements for licensure.
